We Value Learning!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation is come. The old is gone: the new is here.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Happy New Year! May we be like the Wisemen and follow Christ’s light especially in times of darkness. We are so happy to be back at school with the children at Father Turcotte. A special welcome to the new families who have recently joined our family and to those who are coming.

January brings more than resolutions and more cold weather…it is a time of reflection, renewal, and refocusing. This month we begin our BOKS program. Over 40 students from grades 1 through 6 have signed up for this new free fitness program that will occur on Tuesdays and Thursday from 8 to 8:45am from January 9th until the end of March. Thanks to Ms. Jenna Power our Apple Schools Teacher for taking this on.

Please join us on January 18th for our Family Multicultural Celebration of a dance and potluck. We are seeking families to share their culture and traditions with us all through food, dancing, music and any other custom. Please contact the office or your child’s teacher for more information.

Our students need to get back into the routine of school and reading. A reminder of our school WIG. A WIG is a WILDLY IMPORTANT GOAL. This is Father Turcotte’s WIG for the school year:

EVERY student at Father Turcotte School WILL improve their reading by JUNE 2018!

Your child’s class has a classroom goal that contributes to our school goal. Please assist your child with their reading goal daily so that together we can achieve our WIG!

We want to remind you of our Parent Support Network that will be meeting every Thursday morning for 9am-10am here at the school. You are invited to drop your children off to class and stay for coffee and chatting, activity or other things we will plan as we go.

Thank you Father Turcotte Family. God Bless.
